Food Culture Blog 'Girl Meets Soup' Spotlights Cookbook Village

Cookbook Village recently held a cookbook giveaway on its site. Our prize winner Joanie Harmon contacted us soon after learning about her prize. We learned Joanie was not only a cookbook collector, but was a food culture writer with a blog titled "Girl Meets Soup." She collects cookbooks related to recipes with specific ingredients like Campbell's Soup or Bacardi Rum. She also enjoys cookbooks for kids like the ever popular collectible "Peanuts Cook Book," and another cookbook  titled "Sandwichery."

Joanie was inspired to write an article about cookbook collecting from her prize set of TV show themed cookbooks including books from shows like "Friends," "Sopranos," "Gilligan's Island," and "Desperate Housewives." She reached out to us with some interesting questions on collecting and posted this insightful article on "Girl Meets Soup" this week.
